A glamour night sleepover theme can be a terrific way to encourage your sleepover attendees to feel girly and beautiful! You can keep the theme a secret or you could invite friends to bring their own makeup and accessory collections to share with each other. You can also set up an impressive-looking make over area where friends can take turns applying makeup on one another. You could also set up a separate hair styling station so that the girls can take turns rotating the different activities. You can even take a competitive spin and divide your guests into teams and offer goodie bags as prizes for the most creative, fashionable, and dramatic makeovers. Make Up Fun

What would a slumber party be without lots of makeup? One of the best loved sleepover activities involves trying on different shades of makeup, using different application styles, and trying out new brands. Most discount stores, such as dollar shops, sell a variety of name brand and off-brand makeup that you can use for your party. Offer your guests a wide range of colors and types of makeup that they may not have tried before. Pick up a few magazines with makeup tips that can help the girls try new styles and inspire unique and creative ideas. For younger girls you can stick to neutral or sparkly colors of eye shadow and lip gloss, which will provide the novelty of using "big girl" makeup without posing the risk of staining their skin. For a fun twist on this, you can also do the blind make-over game. The girls should be split up into pairs and one girl from each group must put on a blind fold. She will then apply makeup on her partner--all without the aid of her eyes! For even more fun you can ban mirrors until all of the girls have had a blind makeover. Your girls are sure to have plenty of laughs with this one!

Hair Styling

Hair styling is a fun activity that you probably don't need to purchase special equipment for. All you need is a few curling irons or hot rollers, assorted hair clips, and brushes. Your guests can take turns curling and styling each other's hair. Use magazines or internet searches for fun and trendy hairstyles for the girls to recreate. If you want to take a silly turn on the night, have the girls split into groups and see who can create the silliest hairdo!

Nail Decorating

Nail decorating is the perfect way to round out a girly night! You can offer your guests nail stickers, glue-on jewels, false nails, paint pens, and various colors of nail polish. Surrounded by friends in a happy atmosphere the girls can be as daring as they like with their nail decorating. The beauty about nail decorating is that it isn't permanent, so the girls can remove any garish paint or nail accessories before they go home.

Photo Shoot

After the girls have done their makeup, hair, and nails, they should be feeling thoroughly beautiful. OR, you might have opted to host a reverse glamour night where the girls do their best to make each other look terrible. Either way, a fantastic way to finish off the night is to have a photo shoot or fashion show. Create a makeshift walkway and let the girls show off their fantastic (or frightening!) makeovers! Be sure to take plenty of pictures of the girls before the makeover, during, and afterward. This will be a sure way for them to recall the great times they had during the sleepover. If you have time, you could even print off a group photo for each of the girls to take home with them.
